The Key To Happiness At Work [Infographic]

What's the key to happiness at work? According to a study conducted by City & Guilds and compiled into this handy infographic, florists, and gardeners are some of the happiest workers in the UK. Plus, people who work in vocational jobs have a tendency to be happier and more proud of what they do.

Key To Happiness At Work

In all, florists and gardeners are the happiest out of all professions examined, followed closely by hairdressers and beauticians, plumbers, water workers, and marketers. The least happy people are bankers! Interestingly, it seems that, despite the fact that Londoners feel the most adequately financially rewarded, London is the second least likely of all regions to be happy, whereas the self-employed earn less than those in full time employment but are in fact happier and more proud of their jobs. The majority of all workers questioned agreed that the most important aspect of a job is feeling that their work is recognized and appreciated. Again, the florists felt this the most strongly and bankers the least. As a final point on 'role models', the most influential people in workers lives are their family with 17% of all workers in the UK agreeing that this is the case.
