Poll: When Are You More Likely To Negotiate Salary?

So, here's a crazy question: When would you try to negotiate salary from an employer? Everyone wants to make as much money as they can at a job, but are there situations that you would shy away from asking for a increased salary? According to The Atlantic, women are more likely to negotiate their salary if the employer gives them the option. As for men, they appear to be the exact opposite: men are more likely to negotiate when an employer does NOT state wages are negotiable. What do you think? When would you try to negotiate salary?
