For Job Candidates
Preferred Method To Be Contacted By A Candidate: Email
Preferred Process For Following Up On Application: Email
Things That Impress You In A Candidate: I love candidates who are confident and self-aware. I love seeing candidates that are proud of their work, self-driven with extremely high energy. I look for candidates that “wow” me and go out of their way to be unique. (No this does not mean dress up in your birthday suit for an interview:) Maturity and emotional intelligence is key. Candidates must be always curious, love feedback and yearn to learn more everyday.
Things Candidates Must Include To Be Considered For Job: A resume is key but an online resume is even better. Take the extra step and create yourself an online portfolio resume. It shows that you care and that you are excited about yourself and the accomplishments you have made in life thus far! Also, who are you in this world? Is there a trail of your awesomeness I can see? Do you have a blog, do you have killer code in GitHub, are you publicly speaking as a thought leader in your industry?
Things That Will Disqualify A Candidate From Getting Considered: At OIAM we hire on culture first. So, if you do not align with our client’s core values, even though you have an amazing resume, you won’t be considered for hire. I.E. Don’t be a jerk or you will get hired nowhere.
Can Candidates Apply For Multiple Positions And Not Get Penalized?: Yes
