Do High School Classes Count as Experience?

Dear Experts, I'm an advertising major who will be working in the industry upon graduation. The only true marketing classes I've taken have been in high school. Is it appropriate to say I have these classes under my belt? Here is how our T.A.P. experts answered this question:@beneubanksQ#191 When I started (i.e. before I had experience), I made sure to mention relevant classes/education. @kgrantcareersQ#191 Don't list classes taken. Create separate section n match wording from jd 2 what u learned n class + accomplishment. @juliaericksonQ#191 HS dsn't count as exper or relevnt ed'n on rez; cd mention in intervw as evidnce of long intrst in area. @gradversityQ#191 I would stay away from listing your high school classes as most employers won't consider these experience (or education). @DebraWheatmanQ#191 Highschool coursework is not viewed as applicable training. Suggest leaving that off. @jtodonnellQ#191 Experience is practical application, not classroom theory. Mention coursework, but isn't considered exp. @askamanagerQ#191 Don't mention high school classes on your resume. For most hiring managers, they won't really count and will look amateur.
