Help! Company is Denying Education Benefits

Dear Experts, My company has a well publicized education benefit. The benefit is 50% tuition reimbursement for degrees or professional certifications. I meet all the specified qualifications, yet these benefits are being denied to me, and have repeatedly been denied over 3 years. Peers within my department are receiving these benefits. How do I escalate this situation? Here is how our CAREEREALISM-Approved Experts answered this question on Twitter:Q#435 Request reimbursement in writing, ask 4 answer in writing, go 2 HR w/both 2 appeal. @ least get better explanation. (@juliaerickson) Q#435 Find out why you are being denied. There may be some additional stipulation that you are unaware of. (@gradversity) Q#435 Speak to HR about the benefits 2 find out what u need 2 to to take advantage of them. (@DebraWheatman) Q#435 Get to "Why" in writing. If not deserved, go up the food chain. (@drdaphne) Q#435 Agree. Frank HR discussion needed. BUT don't let it affect pursuing ed. That's an investment in you. (@DawnBugni) Q#435 Go to HR & ask for reason for denial. If not, nothing can do unless want to sue for discrimination. (@jtodonnell) Our Twitter Advice Project (T.A.P.) is no longer an active campaign.
