Initial Interview is with the Vice President, Good?

Dear Experts, I have an interview next week with a Fortune 500 company. I'm very excited! However, I'm a little nervous because the interview is with the Vice President of the department I would be working for. So I'm wondering, is there any meaning behind the fact I have my initial interview with the V.P. and not someone of a lower position, or someone from Human Resources? Is this a good thing? Here is how our CAREEREALISM-Approved Experts answered this question on Twitter:Q#484 Better to speak with person hiring than an intermediary. Don't lose sight of interview a 2-way street, regardless the title. (@DawnBugni) Q#484 Don't read too much into it. It may just be the company/executive's style.
