Falling out of love with your career? Don't worry. It's normal to lose interest in your job or career at some point, especially if you've been stuck in a rut for a while and can't seem to get that excitement for work back.
So, what can you do to fall back in love with your career? Here are three tips to follow if you're just not that into your job anymore...
1. Shake Things Up!

The first tip you should try when you fall out of love with your job is sort of like relationship advice, and that is to shake things up. When you spend as much time as you do at work/on the job, it's easy to assume that the job's the problem when maybe just the whole routine of your life is getting a little boring. Find a new hobby, change where you work—just do whatever you can to shake up your workday, and that might be enough to get you out of the doldrums.
2. Find A Mentor

My second tip is to go find a mentor, or maybe your manager, and confide in them that you're having this rust-out feeling, that you're feeling stuck. They've probably been there before and can offer some suggestions to help you get past this career rut.
3. Look For Something New

The final thing you should try when you're falling out of love with your career is to see what it's like on the other side. Set up some informational interviews with people who work jobs you're really interested in. You might find out that the grass is greener, or you might figure out how to take your current skill set and tie it to that job and make the move after all.
It's completely normal to fall out of love with your job at some point in your career. If you think you might be falling out of love with your job, you're probably experiencing job burnout and/or feeling stuck, lost, or trapped in your current career. The good news is I can help.
