What Goes on the Top of a Resume?

I have been reading blogs and tweets about how you should leave objective statements off of resumes in favor of profile statements. Then I read that profile statements are too generic and should be left off too. I am now confused as to what I should put at the top of my resume. Any suggestions so my resume does not immediately get tossed in the "no" pile?
