Track Caffeine Intake at Work? There's an App for That
Whether you are a casual coffee drinker or you simply can't function without caffeine, you've probably had at least one night when you couldn't fall asleep because your system was still wired. If you drink coffee too late in the day, it could keep you up all night long. This leads to being tired at work in the morning and drinking MORE coffee in order to stay awake. This is an awful cycle. But now you might not have to worry. A new smartphone app tells you approximately when caffeine will hit you so you can plan for it accordingly. The new app, Caffeine Zone, can tell you when caffeine will hit you and how long it will be until your levels are low enough for you to fall asleep. Researchers say optimal mental performance occurs when your bloodstream has between 200 and 400 milligrams of caffeine, according to Marie Claire Magazine. So, if you want a restful sleep tonight, make sure to check your caffeine levels before drinking another cup of coffee!
